So i am pretty damn content today, i bought my first official "Copy Protection Free" cd from !K7 labels. Its good to see a label trusting their fans as opposed to limiting the one who legitimately want to rip their albums to a format that they can share, and back up too. DRM has to be the worst thing to come to the music industry since boy band pop (OH NO I DID NOT GO THERE). The best example of how horribly stupid DRM on Audio CDs is the recent Sony Rootkit debacle which is getting Sony pulled into court in Texas of all places. If you don't know what the Sony rootkit does, it exposes your computer to viri', spyware and a whole shit ton of script kiddies. Stupid Sony. They've lost me as a customer for life because of their lack of customer respect at all. How corporations get away with violating our rights (as outlined in the conservative DMCA act) still boggles my mind.

Watching Hip-Hop Honors 2005 it makes me sad that half the people who follow hip-hop have never even heard of Grandmaster Melle Mel, or GM Flash, or how important they were. Same with Big Daddy Kane.
